This aged spruce and pine bark is used to preserve moisture, protect soil from weeds blowing in, and keeping soil temperatures from fluctuating. In the summer it will keep the soil cooler, and in the winter it will keep the soil warmer. Foothills Premium Mulch is 2" minus in size.

MULCH: When using as a mulch apply product evenly at a depth less than 4” (100mm) and greater than 3” (75mm). The proper depth will depend on vegetation type, vegetation density and maturity of vegetation. Use Foothills Premium Mulch to increase water retention in soil and decrease the rate of evaporation. Foothills Premium Mulch will decompose slowly adding organic matter to the soil. Top up all areas with less than 3” of mulch (may be required every other year).

GROUND COVER: Use  Cover muddy wet areas with Foothills Premium Mulch to keep shoes/boots mud free while creating a natural clean look. Apply at a minimum of 2" (50mm) depth.

ORNAMENTAL: Use in planting areas to provide a nice clean look to any garden. The contrast of color really helps any plants or flowers in the mulch to stand out.
